Update on Collection Procedures of Hanjin Containers


Since the filing for receivership by Hanjin Shipping at Seoul District Court on 31 August 2016, Hongkong International Terminals Limited (HIT) has provided emergency services to assist shippers and forwarders to efficiently retrieve Hanjin containers and offer assistance to make alternative carriage arrangements.
In consideration that Hanjin (HK) office will officially shutdown on 10 Feb 2017, HIT will offer the emergency services until 20 Feb 2017. Therefore, cargo owners are reminded to expedite the retrieval of containers and make alternative carriage arrangements at the earliest convenience.
To date, HIT has helped affected parties to retrieve more than 5,018 Hanjin containers. Yet, around 125 laden containers are still in yard awaiting handling.

     -  Mon-Fri: 0900-1730 hours; Sat, Sun & Public Holiday: Closed

  • Payment method:

    -Bank draft  or cheque payable to Hongkong International Terminals Limited shall be delivered in person
    -For bank draft or cheque received on or before 1600 hours, respective containers will be available for pickup after 1500 hours on the next working day
